This is an extension of our Special Swimmers Program. 

Instead of adaptive swim lessons, we focus more on the therapeutic benefits of water and swimming.  

The focus is improving physical, cognitive, and neurosensory functioning.  

Because we can utilize our Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapists, financial support is available for qualified swimmers.

Our inclusive horse club is open to ALL individuals and tailored for the experience you want & need.

Level 1: Explore the world of horses & riding. Perfect for young riders that don't want the intensity of lessons. This level is also appropriate for those that want to trail ride and ride for fun.

Level 2: The learning level. Like traditional lessons with an experienced & trained instructor. Riders at this level require only one person to assist during each session.

Level 3: Health & healing. The riders in this level have extensive needs that can only be assisted by professional staff. These riders require two or more people to assist with each lesson.

Drowning is one of the leading causes of death globally for children and young people aged 1-24 & is the leading cause of death among children on the Autism Spectrum.  We strive to provide swim instruction & safety to those individuals that are not candidates for traditional swim lessons.

Adaptive swim lessons use techniques that place emphasis on swimming skills modified or adapted to accommodate individual abilities, needs, and goals, regardless of age.

Lessons are created for, but are not limited to, those with anxiety, physical, sensory, communication, or behavioral challenges. 

Providing equine partners for community events and programs.  We want to further the awareness of the healing power of horses.

Our horses have been involved in local library programs, daycare fun days, and Operation Shine Camp (summer kids camp for individuals with Autism and related conditions).

We are committed to the inclusion philosophy to make 4-H more accessible to youth with disabilities. There is an extensive body of educational research indicating that the inclusive philosophy maximizes learning for youth with and without disabilities. Integration has been found to improve social acceptance, self-esteem, and social skills for all youth involved when it involves the active mixing of youth with and without disabilities. All youth can benefit from the opportunity to become more aware of differences and more tolerant and accepting of others.

Our Assisted 4-H program allows youth with disabilities to participate in 4-H projects with accommodations.

The LEAN (L- Learn, E-Excite, A-Accept, N-Nurture) experience will provide supplemental therapy to children ages 3-14 with physical disabilities that are currently experiencing insurance-related hardship.   Our 4-week program will encourage movement in settings that are kid-friendly (not a therapy clinic).

Week 1 (May 4):  Bader Park Event- Family Outdoor Expo (adaptive fishing, hiking, food, games)

Week 2 (May 11):  Community Skills (shopping, meal prep, life skills, adaptive playground)

Week 3 (May 18): Equine-related activities (riding, grooming, tacking)

Week 4 (May 25): Swim/Water Activities (adaptive swimming/floating, boating, lake activities)
